It’s been considerably longer and more difficult than we expected, and as you walk around you’ll find some of the scaffolds are still up, some drop cloths haven’t been picked up yet, and some of the light-switches don’t work.
Still, we’re back, and glad of it.
It turns out that there are a ton of built-in punishments for moving a domain name from one host to another, and that these anoying practices are neither advertised, or well-understood by various support staffs. Hopefully what I’ve learned during this painful upgrade can be leveraged into a helpful blog post sometime soon.
In the meantime, please note that while not every feature of this new version of UhW is active yet, not every page filled, you can see our format and get an idea of what we will be presenting. I expect to add new features and content daily now that we’re on-line again.
For the time being, UhW posts are not being cross-posted to Twitter and Facebook.
I’d love to hear from you, pro or con, about the new layout, and am anxious for any suggestions you may have.
Your thoughts?

There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio... and isn't it time you experienced some of them?
I definitely feel that the expanded possibilities for outreach will make this a more successful blog, and as you said, increase the possibility of it bringing financial rewards. I have tested all of the options, and look forward to your posts in the novel, poetry, possibilities. I trust that this is where you will post your alerts and make writers aware of such things as NaNo, for instance. You are sure to increase your page visits with the easy access to past blogs. So there is more chance of your blog being noticed by the ‘big guys’. Of course, if you also expand your outreach to Twitter, and Facebook, this result will also happen, as I understand from reading Spirit. I am glad that I can visit when I ‘have the urge’, and at my own pace, and am able to make this comment. You are a highly competent individual Richard. Have faith that you will be successful and you will. All the best.
I’m loving your new layout! Wow!
Your design is certain to shoot Uphill Writing through the blogosphere and into the stratosphere!
It invites readers to pull up a chair, and start reading your words of wisdom!
Great work, Rik
