I’m sure most of us spent a good portion of the day, yesterday, listening to news, reading reports, and trying to deal with the horror that (as of this writing) 71 human beings felt up close and personal.  It is estimated that more than 200 people were in the theater in Aurora, Colorado.

The numbers of dead and wounded keep changing, getting worse, not better, and the stories of heroism and terror are slowly coming to light.

Every day we see death and destruction on TV or in movies, or we perpetrate violence in computer games.  We read about it.  And some of us actually WRITE about it.  But that is fiction.

What happened just after midnight on Friday is not fiction.

How are you, fellow writer, reacting to this real-life tragedy?

How would you write about it?
