There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio... and isn't it time you experienced some of them?
(I’ve learned the trip of getting past Enter your comment here!!) Just saw the Gerard Richter painting that sold for 34million. Put the comment on yahoo news (only one other person said this) that I saw aportrait of Jesus in the painting. I later withdrew the rest of this comment because I didn’t want to put my opinion with all the negative reactions generally. But I saw ‘hallucination’. This is what my comment said. The eyes moved, and the direction ‘He?’ was facing, and then when Ilook more I saw other figures (hallucinations)coming and going. Then I thought of (nospeak – what’s his Chinese name)and his hallucination realism, as its being called. Are these artist’s ‘discovering’ something about perception. (That is as important as’scientific discoveries’.) Possibly my illiterations!!!! have a similiar effect on some people, I was accused by a listener at the group with ‘Whatareyoutryingtododriveuscrazy’ response. I’ve left the group. Have not been writing much. Butthat’s OK – Iwant to read Stanford Encylopedia’s articles on Kant. Hallucigenic? art? See if you can find the painting and let me know what you think. But perhaps it can only be ‘understood’ by ‘children’!!!!
An interesting quest. I await notice of what you learn! ))
Maybe it’s me. Went back to Yahoo, hoping to see the painting again, and it’s ‘gone’. Can’t recall this happening before. The comments were pretty ‘violently’ against the scandal of a painting selling for 34 Million. Hope you get to see it. There’s a lot of realists out there who hate everything from Picasso, onwards. No ‘philosophers of mind’ among them!!!!
Hi, Loreen…
I did see an article about this, but not the painting. Guess I’ll have to search it out soon as I can.
Thanks!
